“Chit-Chat with Alumni” – Getting to know the Securities Industry

The first “Chit-Chat with Alumni” series for 2018/19 was inaugurally held on 22 November 2018. The theme was “Getting to know the Securities Industry”. Three devoted and dedicated alumni from Banking and Finance Concentration, Mr Matthew Chau (UBS), Mr Anthony Pang (Barclays) and Mr Felix Yeung (China Galaxy), were invited by the Department of Economic and Finance to share their insights and practitioner perspective on the career prospects and the success factors. Students attending the function not only understood more about the practical issues of different career positions but also gained useful tips for job interviews and learnt that interpersonal skills could be as important as books and notes knowledge in the career development.
