  • Seminar Conducted by Mr. Franklin Lam – Rising City in a Sinking World: Why We Must Build Capacity for Hong Kong to Realize Our Outsized Future?

    The Department of Accountancy, in association with the Executive Development Centre, was honored to invite Mr. Franklin Lam, Adjunct Professor of Department of Accountancy of HSMC and Founder of HKgolden50, to conduct a seminar entitled “Rising City in a Sinking World: Why We Must Build Capacity for Hong Kong to Realize Our Outsized Future?” on 12 April 2018. President Professor Simon Ho delivered an opening remark to welcome our honorable guest speaker Mr. Franklin Lam as well as all external guests from various business professions.

    During the seminar, Mr. Franklin Lam argued that the global economy will deteriorate due to ageing population and debt overburden. He also shed light on how Hong Kong would be able to overcome the said problems and will become one of the few cities in the future, which provide sustained economic growth.

    More than 60 audience participated in the event, including students, academicians and external professionals from various prestigious organisations.
