Set up by the HKSAR Government, the Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) offers scholarships and awards to students pursuing full-time self-financing degrees who have demonstrated astonishing achievements in several areas, such as academic, art and sports. This year, Ms. HUI Kwai Wa, Monique (BBA (with Accounting Concentration), Year 4) was awarded the Talent Development Scholarship.
Below is the sharing from Monique on learning and developing her talent in HSUHK:
“I am a year 4 BBA student majoring in accounting. School life in HSUHK is full of fun and challenges. You are able to learn and enjoy U-life. Besides studying, you can find your passion in many different areas. I am a sports lover. I have joined the HSUHK squash and basketball team since year 1.
Shifting from new blood to a captain, the most remarkable yet irreplaceable memories come from every training and games during my four-year sports life in HSU. In 2018, I studied in Finland under a student exchange programme. During the time in Finland, I joined the local squash team and won the sixth place in an international squash competition. In 2019, I became the captain of HSUHK Women’s Basketball Team.
I am thankful for being awarded the Talent Development Scholarship this year. Being a member of the sports team makes my U-life even more unforgettable. And now I am working at a bank as a digital banking trainee
towards my career goal.”
Congratulations once again to Monique.
