The HSUHK SME ESG and Green Business Opportunities Seminar hosted by the Start-up and SME Resource Centre of the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong concluded successfully on 26 September 2025 (Friday). Tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong, this half-day event provided valuable insights, practical strategies, and professional guidance on ESG practices and green business development. The seminar took place at the office of Ricoh Hong Kong Limited (venue sponsor), and attracted representatives from local SMEs across various industries.
Distinguished speakers from top Hong Kong organizations shared expertise on key ESG topics, including anti-corruption, environment protection, workplace well-being, social inclusion, emergency preparedness, and sustainable business models. Their in-depth presentations and practical case studies received high praise from attendees.
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. A presentative from a local manufacturing SME said, “This seminar was extremely practical. The insights on ESG practices and green business opportunities have given us a clear direction for our future development.” Another attendee from the service industry added, “The speakers’ expertise and real-life cases helped us better understand how to implement ESG strategies in our daily operations. We look forward to more such events from HSUHK.”
This seminar not only strengthened SMEs’ understanding of ESG and green business but also built a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration. It marked a successful step in HSUHK’s efforts to support the sustainable development of the SME sector in Hong Kong.
