The visit featured a research seminar titled &#8220;Firms\u2019 FDI Ownership: The Influence of Government Ownership and Legislative Connections,&#8221; delivered by Prof. Yigang Pan from York University. This enlightening session explored the complex dynamics between foreign direct investment (FDI) ownership structures, the implications of government ownership, and the impact of legislative relationships on business operations. The engaging presentation prompted critical discussions among attendees, fostering an environment of scholarly exchange that highlighted the importance of understanding the socio-political context in which firms operate, particularly in an increasingly globalized\u00a0economy.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to the seminar, Prof. Pan held one-on-one consultations with faculty members, providing a valuable opportunity for personalized\u00a0feedback and guidance. These consultations aimed to enhance ongoing research projects and develop future academic initiatives, encouraging faculty members to refine their approaches to teaching and research. The insights gleaned from these discussions helped faculty members identify potential avenues for collaboration and innovation within their marketing curriculum.
