Professor Hanaki is the Director of the Institute of Social and Economic Research at Osaka University and a member of the EAF Academic Advisory Board. His lecture presented an interesting and inspiring experimental study comparing participants&#8217; willingness to pay for stock forecasting advice derived from algorithms, financial experts, and peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/sbus.hsu.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Image-25-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16814\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sbus.hsu.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Image-25-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sbus.hsu.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Image-25-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sbus.hsu.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Image-25-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sbus.hsu.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Image-25-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/sbus.hsu.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Image-25.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The public lecture was well attended by EAF faculty and students, despite coinciding with the exam revision period, including participants in the BBA Economics Future Economist Program, and sparked lively discussion.
