Mentor for EAF Professional Mentorship Programme (EAFPM)

Mentors will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students by sharing your experiences, knowledge, and expertise with them. They will play a significant role in shaping their university experience and future success.
The Role of a Mentor Includes
Meeting with your mentees (on average 2-3) at least 3 times during an annual mentoring period to discuss their academic and personal goals, challenges, and progress. Mentors and mentees can decide upon their own meeting schedule.
Providing support, guidance, and advice to your mentees based on your experiences and expertise.
Helping your mentees develop social and communication techniques, leadership and management skills to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Being a positive role model and coach for your mentees throughout their academic journey.
EAF Professional Mentorship Programme 2024/25

The Department of Economics and Finance has successfully launched the EAF Professional Mentorship Programme 2024/25. The programme aims to provide EAF students with a platform to connect with industry professionals, cultivate workplace-ready soft skills and networking capabilities, and offer opportunities to seek career advice from experienced mentors.
The programme commenced with the “Kick-off Seminar cum Mentors-Mentees Sharing”, which ran smoothly on the evening of 16 June. We were honoured to host four distinguished alumni who shared valuable insights and encouraging words with our student, They are:
- Mr Matthew Lam, Client Account Manager, UBS AG;
- Mr Jimson Chiu, Research Analyst, iPartners Holdings Limited;
- Ms Krystal Yeung, Corporate Finance Associate, Silverbricks Securities Company Ltd; and
- Ms Jasmine Yeung, Compliance Officer, FUTU.
The programme has been well received, and we will continue recruiting additional mentors to cater to different students’ diverse fields of interest.
