To further equip students with essential skills in professional accounting, corporate governance, and sustainability through structured extracurricular training, the Student Enhancement Club (SEC), a new initiative established by the Department of Accountancy, held its inaugural meeting on 4 September 2025, marking the start of the 2025/26 academic year. As the club’s kickoff activity, members were introduced to its objectives and their expected roles, aiming to foster both academic and personal growth.
During the meeting, students received guidance and practical advice on key skills such as email etiquette and CV writing, preparing them for future professional opportunities. In addition to career development support, the session also addressed the timely topic of generative AI, emphasising the importance of staying current in the rapidly evolving business environment. Furthermore, students were introduced to Nano Banana within Google AI platforms, an advanced AI model integrated into Gemini 2.5 Flash Image. This innovative tool enables users to generate highly realistic 3D-style toy or figurine images from their own photos while maintaining exceptional facial and character consistency. Through hands-on practice with Nano Banana, students can explore powerful AI-driven image editing techniques such as natural language prompt editing, outfit changes, and background manipulation.
