Biography

Dr. Liu earned her PhD in Economics and a BBA with First Class Honours, double concentrations in Finance and Applied Economics from Hong Kong Baptist University. She has received several awards and scholarships, including Padma & Hari Harilela Scholarship for Outstanding Students, Hong Kong Baptist University Outstanding Student Leaders Award, Outstanding BBA Student Leader Scholarship, and HKSAR Government Talent Development Scholarship. 

Dr. Liu’s research spans a broad range of macroeconomic topics and examines the intersection of environmental sustainability and economic policy. She actively integrates macroeconomic modelling and forecasting techniques into her work. 

Dr. Liu achieved a Grade 11 performance diploma in violin and Grade 9 in Guzheng. She has been a member of her university’s table tennis team since her freshman year. Additionally, she is an experienced Master of Ceremonies and was awarded a Merit prize in the Tenth Hong Kong Inter-Tertiary Institution Putonghua Recitation Contest (native-speaker group). She also secured first (second) place in the National English Debate (Speaking) Competition for Secondary School Students.
