Members of the ACY Students Enhancement Club (SEC) actively participated in the FSDC Talent Day 2025 – “AI in Finance: Redefining Talents for Tomorrow” held on 23 January 2026 at the HKEX Connect Hall in Central. Organised by the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC), the rescheduled event brought together students and young professionals to explore AI’s transformative role in Hong Kong’s financial sector.
SEC members gained direct exposure to industry insights through keynote speeches by Mr Ernest Leung of WeLab and Mr Leiming Chen of Ant International, alongside two expert panels. Panel 1 addressed AI’s impact on reshaping finance roles, with speakers from HSBC, Citibank (Hong Kong), McKinsey, and HKUST. Panel 2 focused on emerging AI-driven careers, featuring leaders from ICBC (Asia), Sun Life, the Hong Kong Fintech Industry Association, and HSBC Life.
This participation provided SEC students with practical benefits, including enhanced knowledge of AI applications in risk management, data analytics, and ethical decision-making—skills vital for their studies in business, accountancy, and entrepreneurship. Networking sessions allowed them to connect with executives, fostering mentorship opportunities and career clarity in a tech-evolving industry. Overall, the event reinforced HSUHK’s emphasis on experiential learning that prepares students for the intelligent future of finance.
