In line with the School of Business’s commitment to nurturing students’ social engagement and entrepreneurial mindset through real-world problem-solving, the EAF Department empowered five outstanding BBA students majoring in Economics and Financial Analysis and FinTech to take part in the Chief Executive’s 2026 Policy Address consultation session for post-secondary students, hosted by the Education Bureau (EDB).
To prepare them thoroughly, the department organized an intensive workshop during this summer, led by Dr. Li King King, Programme Director of BBA-ECON, alongside dedicated EAF faculty members. The session provided deep insights into the key issues highlighted by the EDB, focusing on post-secondary education policies as well as social mobility and youth development.
The students successfully brought their ideas to life during the two-hour consultation session held at the Central Government Offices Auditorium in Tamar. The session attracted numerous students from various higher education institutions across Hong Kong. Our students not only gained invaluable exposure but also honed their ability to articulate perspectives and present innovative suggestions with confidence and clarity.
Their active participation in this government-led policy consultation expanded their understanding of pressing social and economic challenges while equipping them to become agile, creative thinkers ready to challenge conventional wisdom and contribute meaningfully to shaping Hong Kong’s future.
