Programme Objectives

The BBA-MGT Programme focuses on building strategic leaders with global and local perspectives and considerable expertise in leading, organising, and motivating people in profit- and non-profit-making organisations.

In addition to providing business training such as accounting, economics, finance, marketing, and supply chain management, the BBA-MGT Programme puts much emphasis on strengthening our students’ soft skills, such as problem-solving, team building, creativity and political skills, to improve their personal development and career choices.

Programme Intended Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Programme, students should be able to:

  • address professional and personal challenges through the application of inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary knowledge acquired
  • possess effective communication ability in a business environment, work as a team player to integrate effectively the skills and knowledge developed, and be able to manage independent lifelong learning
  • evaluate own contributions and responsibilities in becoming responsible employees, business leaders, and business partners
  • possess broad horizons and be inquisitive about various global issues and developments such as politics, cultures, social sciences, and technologies
  • understand and apply managerial and behavioural concepts and strategies in managing people
  • develop and strengthen managerial skills such as leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills at work
  • understand and manage the changes and transformations in organizational operations within rapidly changing international and domestic environments

Academic Structure

Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Management is a four-year programme. Students are required to take a total number of 41 modules with 3 credits each (except 3 English modules with 2 credits each), including 16 modules in General Education & Generic Skills, 11 modules in Business Education, 11 modules in MGT Specialty and 3 Free Elective modules.

BBA-MGT graduates’ career prospects vary from being global managers who want to pursue managerial careers in multinational corporations to being entrepreneurs who wish to establish their own companies. Since they are trained up to be an expert in managing people, they fit a variety of careers that involve human skills, such as assistant managers, human resources assistants, executive officers, or small business owners, etc.

The broad-based and flexibility nature of the programme structure allows graduates a wide range of career possibility. Graduates of the BBA-MGT programme are varied from those who wish to start their own business to those who want to pursue careers as management trainee or human resource assistant in both private and public organizations as well as multinational corporations.
