The ACY delegation, led by Department Head Prof. Phyllis Mo and Academic Advisory Board Member Prof. Hsihui Chang, visited the School of Business at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) in Guangzhou to establish a new strategic partnership. Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of SYSU’s School of Business, the visit focused on dynamic discussions aimed at exploring collaborative opportunities to shape the future of business education in the Greater Bay Area.
The dialogue resulted in a clear plan for effective collaboration, emphasizing a mutual exchange of insights that connect academic theory with industry practice. Key outcomes included plans for joint research grant applications in critical areas such as taxation, auditing, and ESG. To demonstrate our commitment to promoting regional cooperation, ACY proposed hosting the 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Accounting (GHM-UAA) Symposium on Intelligent Accounting Education. This partnership represents a significant step toward cultivating globally minded professionals.
