On 25 January 2026, a team of seven students from the Department of Accountancy (ACY) took part in the ACCA Community Day 2026, organized by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Themed “Run Ahead for Inclusive Community and Sustainable Value,” this annual event brought together professionals from leading accountancy firms, multinational corporations, businesses, and educational institutions to raise funds for local charities and promote solidarity with underprivileged communities in Hong Kong.
The highlight of the day was the Chairman Tertiary Cup Rickshaw Race, held along the vibrant Chater Road Pedestrian Precinct in Central. The ACY students represented the Department with enthusiasm and teamwork in both the Rickshaw Teams Costume Parade and the thrilling Rickshaw Race, while a cheering team of over 20 fellow ACY students and staff lined the streets to show their wholehearted support. Their presence and encouragement added great energy to the event and reflected the strong sense of unity and community spirit among ACY students.
Through participation in such meaningful initiatives, ACY continues to emphasize the importance of community engagement and social responsibility within the accounting profession.
