The Department of Accountancy welcomed a delegation from the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) for a meeting and networking lunch on 2 October (Thursday), reaffirming the Department’s strong ties with the accounting profession and its commitment to supporting students’ professional development.
Led by Mr Kit Wong, Director of Education & Training, the HKICPA team introduced the newly launched Certificate in Accounting and Business (CAB), outlining its structure and value proposition for students and graduates seeking early professional recognition.
The meeting also covered updates and developments on the HKICPA Qualification Programme (QP) to support clear pathways to professional qualification, as well as opportunities for future collaboration between HKICPA and the Department to enhance students’ professional engagement.
The discussion underscored the Department’s ongoing commitment in building meaningful bridges between classroom learning and professional practice, strengthening students’ readiness for their careers.
