MKT students’ involvement in the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2025

For the second consecutive year, HSUHK marketing students stepped into action as event patrollers at the iconic HK Wine and Dine Festival. Following a September campus visit by Baobab Trees Events, the event management agency appointed by the HK Tourism Board, over 50 students applied, with nearly half being selected.

This hands-on experience provides students with real-world exposure to event management while exploring sustainability practices. As part of the Event Marketing and Management module curriculum, students gain insights into applying the Global Sustainable Tourism Council standards, learning to integrate eco-friendly measures into large-scale events. From theory to practice, HSUHK students are leaving their mark through this service learning module on one of Hong Kong’s most celebrated festivals.
