The Department of Accountancy successfully hosted the Professional Bodies Briefing Session 2025-26 – Series 2 on 26 March 2026. The Department invited representatives from three leading professional bodies — the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI), and The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) — to introduce their institutes and respective professional qualifications.
The speakers provided detailed insights into examination structures, qualification pathways, and the paper exemptions available for HSUHK graduates. Throughout the session, students explored diverse career options in professional accountancy, gained a clear understanding of the distinctions between various qualifications in professional accounting and corporate governance, and received practical guidance on selecting the most suitable professional pathway for their future careers.
