School of Business Launches Project BeReady with Inspiring Kick-off Workshop on Gen AI for Job Hunting

The School of Business (SBUS) proudly launched Project BeReady—a forward-looking initiative designed to strengthen students’ career readiness under three key pillars: Be AI-Ready, Be Workplace-Ready, and Be Network-Ready.

The project officially commenced on 22 September 2025 with a dynamic workshop, “Tips for Utilising Gen AI for Job Hunting,” co-organized with the Career Planning and Development Section of the Student Affairs Office (SAO).

Empowering Students with Future-Ready Skills

The interactive session equipped participants with practical strategies to harness the power of generative AI in their job search. Students explored advanced applications of AI to:

  • Refine and personalize CVs
  • Strengthen interview preparation
  • Move beyond generic outputs to create tailored, impactful application materials

Through hands-on exercises, students gained confidence in applying AI tools to navigate an increasingly competitive and evolving job market.

Setting the Tone for Project BeReady

This inaugural event underscored a core principle of Project BeReadyleveraging technology not just to keep pace with change, but to gain a competitive edge.

Looking ahead, SBUS will continue to build on this momentum with a series of Project BeReadyevents, ensuring students are equipped with the cutting-edge tools, professional skills, and networks essential for success in the modern workforce.
