AI and Leadership Converge at the School of Business Dean’s Distinguished Speaker Series

The School of Business at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong successfully launched the inaugural session of its Dean’s Distinguished Speaker Series on 10 November, themed “The Era of New Possibilities: Nurturing Future Leaders in the AI Generation.” The event drew a full house of students, faculty, and industry partners to the Auditorium, eager to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the future of leadership.

Kicking off the session, Professor Sam Park, Distinguished University Professor and Dean of the School of Business, welcomed attendees and introduced the distinguished speaker Mr Joe Ngai, Greater China Chairman of McKinsey & Company and Chairman of the School Advisory Committee. Professor Park highlighted Mr Ngai’s visionary leadership and deep expertise in business transformation, noting his recent recognition as one of Forbes’ Top 100 Most Influential Chinese 2025, a testament to his impact on the global business landscape.

In his keynote, Mr Ngai shared strategic perspectives on how AI is reshaping leadership. His talk sparked reflection on the intersection of technology and human-centric leadership, inspiring attendees to rethink their roles in shaping the future.

A Q&A session moderated by Professor Park followed, allowing students and guests to engage directly with Mr Ngai. The dialogue underscored the importance of continuous learning and cross-disciplinary thinking in navigating the AI-driven world.
