The School of Business was proud to partner with Austrade Hong Kong, serving as a volunteer contributor for the Australian Pavilion at the Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit (GIES) 2025. The event, a key platform addressing Hong Kong’s ageing population challenges, successfully concluded at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Wanchai from 20 to 23 November 2025.
Featuring 11 leading Australian gerontech firms, the Australian Pavilion drew wide attention. Nine outstanding students from the School of Business were selected as volunteer ambassadors, playing a pivotal role in introducing innovative elderly care technologies to government officials, NGO leaders, and industry experts.
During the expo, the students gained firsthand experience in the booming gerontech sector and networked with global pioneers in aged care and innovation, translating their academic insights into tangible value. This initiative aligned with the School’s commitment to fostering practical skills and social responsibility, further strengthening its efforts in bridging classroom learning with real-world societal needs.
