On August 9, 2025, Prof. Phyllis Mo, Head of the Accountancy Department, Dr. Eden Chow, and a group of HSUHK students attended the 7th “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area: New Opportunities for Youth” Forum, hosted by the Institute of Accountants Exchange (IAE). The theme of the forum was “Smart Collaboration: Creating a Shared Future – The Power of Generation Z.”
The Forum was attended by prominent industry leaders and government officials, including Dr. David Sun, Chairman of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC); Mr. Joseph Chan, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Government of HKSAR; Dr. King-lun Au, Executive Director of the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC); and Hon. Edmund Wong, legislative councillor representing the accountancy sector in Hong Kong. They delivered keynote speeches and participated in panel discussions that explored topics such as the development of family offices in Hong Kong, future trends for Generation Z, entrepreneurship and personal branding, and emerging opportunities in China’s export industry.
At the launch ceremony of the Youth Development Partnership Programme, Mr. Dicken Tam, a second-year student in the BBA-PA Programme, was presented with a commemorative plaque by Dr. David Sun, Chairman of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC), in recognition of his active participation in the forum.
