China Resources Company Visit: A Day of Learning and Inspiration

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Vicky Wong, Finance Director of China Resources Logistics Group and esteemed HKICPA Council member, for graciously inviting our students to this enriching company visit in Shenzhen.

Women in Society Association (WiSA) organised this one-day programme, during which students visited the iconic China Resources Building. Highlights included a tour of the corporate culture exhibition hall to explore the group’s diversified businesses and Mainland market development, followed by a guided visit to the China Resources Land MixC complex and the Vanguard logistics centre for insights into retail operations and supply chain management.

A special highlight was the sharing session, where senior management from China Resources delivered expert presentations on career paths in financial management and automation, group taxation, financial reporting and budgeting, and company secretarial practices. They also offered valuable career advice to students on equipping themselves for future development—by recognising how interrelated fields like taxation, automation, financial management, corporate governance, and sustainability enhance holistic expertise. Students gained invaluable real-world perspectives on applying these interconnected concepts in dynamic corporate environments.

This visit deepened students’ understanding of Mainland business practices and cross-border opportunities, effectively bridging classroom theory with professional reality.
