The School of Business (SBUS) at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong successfully hosted the “NextGen Video Challenge: Powered by AI” Award Presentation Ceremony on 19 December 2025, recognising students’ outstanding creativity and innovative use of artificial intelligence (AI) in digital storytelling.
The competition centred on four key themes: “Teaching Excellence”, “Student Learning Experience”, “Curriculum Innovation” and “Real-world Impact”. It encouraged participants to leverage AI to expand visual expression and narrative techniques. Within the competition framework, the entries demonstrated remarkable technical skills and strong creative imagination, showcasing how technology can drive creative development and foster diverse ways of thinking.

🏆 Champion – LAU Ka Ho
(BBA (Hons) in Management / Year 4)
(Mr. LAU Ka Ho was awarded the championship for his outstanding narrative structure and technical execution.)
🥈 First Runner-up – YUNG Ming Yin
(BBA (Hons) in Financial Analysis and FinTech / Year 1)
(Mr. YUNG Ming Yin received the first runner-up award for his innovative use of AI-driven storytelling techniques.)
🥉 Second Runner-up – LU Lam Lam
(BBA (Hons) in Marketing / Year 4)
(Ms. LU Lam Lam was named second runner-up in recognition of her unique creative vision and sophisticated use of AI tools.

🏆 Champion – CHOY Wing Hei & KWONG Wai Pong

(Ms. CHOY Wing Hei received the award on behalf of the team, which was recognised for its outstanding collaboration and creative accomplishment.)
Recognition and Awards
To acknowledge the outstanding performance of the awardees, SBUS presented each winning student with a Certificate of Achievement, a Recommendation Letter signed by the Dean of SBUS, and an SBUS merchandise bundle gift set. To further support their academic and technological advancement, winners also received premium digital devices valued between HKD 1,800 and HKD 12,000.
