EAF joined hands with Sun Life to organize an artificial intelligence applications workshop for its students on April 23.
Led by speaker Danny Woo, the session offered participants an overview of AI agents and large language models, including Gemini, Manus and Doubao.

Woo posed a question to the audience: How much time can be saved when drafting product analysis and comparison reports with the help of AI?
After students offered estimates ranging from 50 to 60 per cent, he revealed the figure was as high as 90 per cent.

He went on to outline practical uses of the tools: Gemini assists in comparing different insurance policies; Manus automates the creation of PowerPoint slides and visual diagrams; while Doubao serves as a virtual coach for soft skills training.
When a student asked whether there were tasks AI could not accomplish, Woo noted that AI remains prone to hallucinations, underscoring that human judgment remains essential in final decision-making. He added that building customer trust and demonstrating genuine empathy are still inherently human capabilities that AI cannot replicate.
Described as a highly productive session, the workshop equipped students with future-ready skills essential for an increasingly AI-driven professional landscape.
