The Department of Accountancy successfully hosted the public lecture titled “Social Justice, Social Good, and ESG Metrics” on 20 November 2025.
In his opening remarks, Professor Simon Ho (HSUHK President) emphasised the significance of ESG and urged the audience to look beyond mere compliance, highlighting that true leadership lies in embedding social justice into the corporate DNA.
Keynote speaker, Professor Wong Kwai Huen, SBS, BBS, JP, delivered an inspiring presentation that traced the evolution of ESG, analysed Hong Kong’s regulatory landscape, and demonstrated how the “S” pillar can be leveraged to promote genuine social good.
The lively Q&A session, moderated by Mr. Ricky Lam, Associate Dean (Enterprise and Business Engagement), showcased strong audience engagement. This event further reinforced the Department’s leadership in sustainable business education.
