Programme Objectives

  • Equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyse and formulate effective global strategies that address complex international business challenges;
  • Foster strategic leadership capabilities that enable students to make informed decisions in dynamic and diverse global environments;
  • Prepare students to navigate and manage cultural differences in international business settings, promoting effective communication and collaboration across cultures;
  • Instil an understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and their application in global business contexts, emphasising ethical decision-making and corporate responsibility;
  • Inspire entrepreneurial thinking and innovative problem-solving skills to drive business growth and competitiveness; and
  • Equips students with data analysis skills and big-data capabilities to make informed, evidence-based business decisions.

Programme Intended Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the MSc-GSM programme, graduates will be able to achieve:

  • Assess global market dynamics and develop effective global strategic plans considering competition, market entry, and resource allocation;
  • Demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills in complex global business environments;
  • Demonstrate agility and adaptability by applying cross-disciplinary perspectives to manage evolving international challenges;
  • Exhibit strong cross-cultural communication skills to enhance collaboration and negotiation;
  • Design business strategies that integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles;
  • Create and evaluate innovative solutions for diverse business challenges facing the company; and
  • Integrate knowledge from various disciplines to complete a capstone project that addresses a global business challenge, informed by appropriate data analysis skills and big data capabilities.
