HSUHK ACY Students Champion Tax Literacy at TIHK Tax Intelligence and Fun Day 2026

A team of seven BBA-PA students from the Department of Accountancy proudly represented the department at the Tax Intelligence and Fun Day 2026, hosted by The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) on 29–30 May 2026.

Our outdoor booth, named “Tax Ultimate Fun,” was held under the blazing sun, yet the event drew crowds as hot as the weather. Beyond just interactive games, the booth served as a highly impactful platform for community education. Visitors tested their knowledge by answering tax-related questions prepared by the students, before tossing a ball into a target for a prize. Laughter and cheers filled the air as people of all ages joined in. Amid this lively atmosphere, our students successfully bridged the gap between the classroom and the public, breaking down complex, dry tax regulations into practical, easy-to-grasp insights that directly benefited the wider community.

The profound impact and success of this initiative would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of Ms. Pauline Cheung and Dr. Pauline Wong. They provided their full, steadfast support by standing alongside the team under the heat on-site for the entire two-day event.

The HSUHK team receives a certificate of appreciation from The Hon. Joseph Chan Ho-lim, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, in recognition of their participation and efforts.
