It is our pleasure that district director Eric Poon and Simon Shiu branch manager of AIA International Limited gave us a talk on internship program to our School of Business students on 28 September in our campus.
As HKSAR government would like to establish Hong Kong as family office hubs, Eric said: ‘It is included in our program. It further strengthens Hong Kong position as an international financial centre.’
Simon said: ‘In this program, students apply what they learned about financial concepts and theories into practice. In addition, they will attach with licensed professionals to see real clients. Students get their own discretion to take the licensed examination on insurance too.’
Year 1 students concerns whether they will be considered to join this program, Eric replied: ‘first priority will be given to year 3 students, but other year students are also very welcome to apply.
Five students register to join it immediately after the talk. They learned a lot on perspectives of financial planning in Hong Kong.
