On 22 August, the Department of Economics and Finance hosted a vibrant New Student Gala to welcome its latest cohort. Held from 13:30 to 16:00, the event began with a buffet lunch in the open area outside the classroom, where students and faculty mingled in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. Laughter and lively conversations set a warm tone for the afternoon.
Following the lunch, students joined an information session where faculty members introduced themselves and shared key insights about the programme. Topics included extracurricular activities, academic competitions, career planning, graduation requirements, and university regulations. Students remained engaged throughout, asking thoughtful questions and showing great enthusiasm.
Many stayed after the session to speak further with faculty, discussing their goals and seeking advice. The event was a meaningful start to the academic journey, and we are pleased to say it was a great success.
