The Department of Accountancy organised a Research Training Workshop with the theme of “Contemporary Issues in Capital Markets” on 9 May 2023. It was our honour to invite Professor In-Mu Haw, Visiting Chair Professor of the Department, as the trainer. Professor Haw presented his research on “Firm-Initiated Equity Trading Halts and Investor Reactions: The Case of M&As in China” in the first session, and shared his most recent research project “The Role of Direct Equity Ownership in Supply Chains” with the participants in the second session.
