Admission
Entry Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Earned a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent, and
- Achieved the score of any English language proficiency tests listed below or any other equivalent tests recognised by HSUHK if the applicant’s degree was not obtained from a university where English is the medium of instruction.
- A minimum of 550 (paper-based); 79 (internet-based) in TOEFL; TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition@ or
- A minimum of 6.0 in IELTS / IELTS Online / IELTS Indicator@ or
- A minimum of 430 in College English Test-Band 6 (CET-6) or “Pass” if the test was taken before June 2005; or
- Equivalent of the above
Starting from the September 2024 intake, the following test results will not be considered as meeting the English language requirements:

Tuition Fee
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Tuition Fee per credit for September 2024 intake for Local students is $4,730 (in HKD)
Tuition Fee per credit for September 2024 intake for Non-local students is $6,300 (in HKD)

Scholarships for MSc-EM Applicants
Different types of external and internal scholarship are available for our local and non-local students.

| Alumni Fee Reduction Scheme | 10% off tuition fee | Applicable to all alumni | HSUHK final year students or HSUHK/HSMC/HSSC alumni who enrol in the MSc-EM programme in academic year 2021-22. | Applicable to all alumni. |
All eligible applicants for the Programme will be considered for this scholarship and there is no need to make a separate application.
