On 29 October 2026, a selected delegation of accounting and corporate governance students from the Department of Accountanc, attended the flagship 2026 CPA Congress held at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.
Celebrating CPA Australia’s landmark 140th anniversary, this year’s congress dedicated to the theme “Lead the Outcome, Shape What’s Next.” The event gathered distinguished business leaders, policy makers, and industry experts to explore pivotal developments in the profession, including the rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI), organizational resilience, and strategic leadership.
The event offered our students an invaluable opportunity to connect academic theory with cutting-edge professional practice. It also allowed them to gain crucial insights into the emerging global trends that are actively redefining the future of accounting and corporate governance.
Proactive Professional Networking
The summit concluded with an exclusive Farewell Networking Cocktail Reception. This session provided our student delegation with a superb platform to step outside their comfort zones and practice their networking skills. Our students proactively engaged in professional dialogues with elite financial directors and accounting practitioners, establishing valuable connections for their future career development.
