ACY Staff Welcome New Senior-Year Entrants to BBA-PA and BBA-CGC Programme at Academic Session

The Department of Accountancy organised an Academic Session for new senior-year entrants of the BBA-PA and BBA-CGC programme on 13 August 2026 (Thursday).

Dr Rita Yip, Programme Director of BBA-PA, and Dr Johnson Shum, Programme Director of BBA-CGC, provided an overview of the key features of both programmes, including the programme structure, study plans, and graduation requirements.

Dr Vivian Zhang, coordinator of the ACY Mentorship Programme, then introduced the Mentorship Programme for the 2026/27 academic year. The programme offers personalised guidance from seasoned industry mentors through regular group meetings, skill development workshops, networking opportunities and optional workplace shadowing.

Mr Ricky Lam, Associate Dean (Enterprise and Business Engagement) of School of Business, subsequently presented the newly Artificial Intelligence modules offered by the School of Business (SBUS). He highlighted how the modules enable students to build foundational knowledge of AI in a business context, develop practical applied AI skills, and enhance their future employability through interdisciplinary learning.

After the presentations, new students were divided into groups and engaged in discussions about their respective programmes, career aspirations, and strategies for academic success at HSUHK with academic staff.
