MKT Singapore Study Tour 2026

The Department of Marketing successfully organised a five-day Study Tour to Singapore from 1 to 5 June 2026.  The study tour provided students with an invaluable opportunity to explore a diverse range of academic, cultural, and technological experiences outside the classroom and Hong Kong. The tour covered company visits to local businesses specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and marketing, university visit featuring engaging sharing at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and cultural immersion experiences designed to deepen students’ learning and understanding of Singapore’s rich heritage and vibrant society.

Highlights:

National University of Singapore (NUS)

An informative session and campus visit at NUS offered a firsthand look at one of Asia’s leading universities. Students gained valuable knowledge about the university’s cutting-edge programmes and research initiatives.

Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO)

The students engaged with the HKETO in Singapore, where they learned about the dynamic economic ties between Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as emerging opportunities in the region.

A series of inspiring sharing sessions by AI Tech companies in business:

  • iSmart: an AI marketing agency, showcased how AI is revolutionizing digital marketing strategies.
  • VisionTech: a fast-growing, Generative AI company that specializes in developing AI-driven solutions to boost sales, enhance customer experiences, and overcome local manpower shortages.
  • Automa8e: an AI-powered finance and accounting firm, shared insights on automating financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Beyond the professional and academic engagements, students immersed themselves in the vibrant city life of Singapore. The tour included visits to iconic landmarks and cultural hubs such as:

  • Gardens by the Bay: Explored the breathtaking futuristic gardens and learned about innovative horticulture and sustainable urban greening.
  • Sustainable Singapore Gallery: Discovered Singapore’s dedication to environmental sustainability and gained insights into eco-friendly initiatives and green technologies.
  • ArtScience Museum: Experienced the fusion of art and technology and understood how creativity and innovation intersect.
  • Singapore City Gallery: Examined the city’s urban planning and development strategies and learned about smart city concepts and infrastructure design.
  • Chinatown: Immerse in the rich heritage and vibrant culinary culture and appreciated the importance of cultural preservation and community identity.
