On July 30th, the EAF Department hosted 26 high school students for the HSUHK Summer Academy 2026. The engaging session, titled “Your First Investment: Making Money and Making Meaning – A Guide to Social Impact Investing,” challenged students to design mock investment projects. Through interactive group work, participants gained hands-on experience evaluating mission, financials, and social impact metrics. Crucially, students learned to articulate investment decisions that balance financial returns with positive social change. The immersive experience was further elevated by an introduction to the state-of-the-art Financial Trading Lab and professional Bloomberg Terminals. This dynamic taster programme successfully sparked students’ enthusiasm, blending foundational financial literacy with real-world, meaningful applications.
