A nearly full room and lively conversations marked the EAF Exchange Information Session on 15 October 2026, bringing students practical guidance and fresh encouragement to pursue overseas learning.
The event was opened with the remark of Professor Roman Matousek, Head of the Department of Economics and Finance. He encouraged students to broaden their horizons through exchange. Sarah Wong from the Global Affairs Office then outlined opportunities for 2027/28, helping students understand destination choices, application procedures, financial planning and credit transfer—key considerations in turning aspirations into workable study plans.
The Department also introduced the new EAF Global Explorer Scholarship, offering destination-based awards of HK$5,000–HK$13,500 to support eligible students and encourage participation. This financial support reinforced the Department’s commitment to making overseas learning more accessible. Then the invited student speaker and returnee Fang Weibin brought a personal perspective, sharing experiences and reflections from his semester-long exchange in the UK last year.
The warm atmosphere continued over refreshments, with students mingling and asking follow-up questions about credit transfer and study planning. Their enthusiastic engagement reflected excitement about both exchange opportunities and the scholarship, as the session connected global ambitions with practical preparation and support.
