The MKT Alumni Mentorship Programme Kick-off Ceremony 25/26 was successfully held on 27 February 2026, marking the beginning of another inspiring year of mentorship, growth, and connection between alumni and MKT/GB students. The evening brought together a vibrant community of over 30 alumni mentors and student mentees, united by a shared spirit of learning and collaboration. The event provided a meaningful platform for mentors and mentees to meet for the first time, exchange ideas, and lay the foundation for a fruitful mentoring journey ahead.
The ceremony featured two distinguished alumni guest speakers — Mr. Derek Leung, Wealth Management Manager at AIA International Limited, and Ms. Ada Chew, Assistant Manager of Corporate Communications at Pico Global Services Limited.
Derek shared insightful experiences from his career in the insurance industry, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and trust in building client relationships. He encouraged students to uphold integrity and embrace lifelong learning as essential qualities for professional success.
Ada discussed key workplace survival skills, including effective communication, teamwork, and emotional resilience. She also spoke about the importance of providing emotional value to supervisors, highlighting emotional intelligence as a vital element in creating a positive and supportive work environment.
