“If I have a business idea but no entrepreneurial experience, where do I start?” That question surfaced repeatedly as prospective students and parents met Dr Li King King, Programme Director of the Master of Science in Entrepreneurial Management (MSc-EM) Programme, and colleagues from the Taught Postgraduate Programmes (TPG) Office at the 65th Exhibition Summer 2026 Global Education fairs in Hefei on 27 June and Chengdu on 4 July.
Rather than simply introducing programme features, Dr Li engaged visitors in candid conversations about innovation, entrepreneurship and career development in a rapidly evolving business landscape. He also highlighted the distinctive strengths of the MSc-EM Programme, including its collaboration with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP), which provides students with opportunities to work on real-world capstone projects proposed by start-ups within the Science Park ecosystem. For many students, the discussions offered valuable insights into how entrepreneurial thinking can create opportunities not only for aspiring business founders but also for professionals seeking to drive innovation within established organisations.
The exchanges quickly evolved beyond admissions enquiries. Students shared their career aspirations and business ideas, while parents sought a deeper understanding of how the MSc-EM programme equips graduates with the skills to identify market opportunities, develop strategic solutions, and navigate the challenges of launching and growing ventures.
By fostering meaningful dialogue with students and families in Mainland China, the exhibitions not only enhanced the visibility of the MSc-EM Programme and HSUHK School of Business in Hefei and Chengdu, but also reinforced the School’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurial leaders. Beyond programme promotion, the events served as a platform to inspire ambitions, answer real-world concerns, and build lasting connections with the next generation of changemakers.
