The School of Business (SBUS) of Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) successfully hosted its landmark Inaugural SBUS Alumni Gala Dinner on 15 May 2026 at the Grand Ballroom of Harbour Grand Hong Kong. Officiated by Dr the Hon Moses Cheng, Chairman of the University Council, and Professor Simon Ho, President of HSUHK, this flagship event marks a new milestone for the School’s alumni development and institutional advancement. Bringing together over 300 cross-generational alumni, university senior management, faculty members and industry partners, the gala created a warm platform for reunion, networking and celebration within the SBUS community.
As SBUS’s first-ever flagship alumni gala, the event aims to strengthen the long-term bond between the School and its alumni network, while facilitating cross-generational and cross-industry professional exchanges. Rooted in its long-standing mission of nurturing elite business talents, SBUS leverages the gathering to unite graduates, celebrate collective achievements, revisit campus memories, and showcase the School’s steady developmental progress.
On this significant occasion, Professor Sam Park, Dean of SBUS, unveiled the School’s forward-looking Vision 2030 strategic blueprint. Focused on elevating academic standards, deepening university-industry collaboration, and nurturing socially responsible, globally competitive business leaders, the vision positions the newly launched SBUS Development Fund as a core driving force for institutional development. Professor Park emphasised that the integration of alumni resources, industry expertise and SBUS’s academic strengths will further enhance teaching and research quality, expand international exposure, and build a high-calibre business education ecosystem benefiting students, alumni and the wider business sector.
The strong turnout of attendees reflects the profound sense of belonging and active engagement of the SBUS alumni family. The successful inaugural gala has established a solid foundation for annual alumni gatherings and sustained engagement programmes. Moving forward, SBUS will continue to organise diverse alumni activities, maintain close connections with graduates, and support their lifelong career growth through regular networking and resource-sharing initiatives.
SBUS extends sincere gratitude to all participating alumni, honourable guests, faculty, staff and supporting partners for their contributions to the event’s great success. The School looks forward to future alumni reunions to unite the entire SBUS community and write new chapters of solidarity and progress together.
