Welcoming Global Talent: SBUS Strengthens Academic Excellence Through New Faculty Connections

On 28 August, the School of Business (SBUS) welcomed 13 new faculty members across the Departments of Accountancy, Economics and Finance, Management, and Marketing. Joining SBUS from leading universities in Asia, Europe and North America, the new academics bring a wealth of expertise, international perspectives and research strengths that will further enrich the School’s teaching, research and academic community.

To welcome the new colleagues, the School hosted a New Faculty Orientation Lunch attended by the Dean, Associate Deans, Department Heads and School management. Beyond serving as an introduction to the School, the gathering provided a valuable platform for faculty members and School leadership to connect, exchange ideas and begin building professional relationships across departments.

During the event, new faculty members shared their backgrounds and research interests, opening the door to future interdisciplinary collaboration. School leaders also introduced the School’s strategic priorities and key initiatives, helping faculty members gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities and support available within the SBUS community. As a gesture of welcome, Dean Professor Sam PARK presented SBUS welcome gifts to the new faculty members, reflecting the School’s commitment to fostering a collegial and supportive environment.
