SHEK Cho Chi, George and LIU Kaiting, Jack students from the Global Business Management (BBA-GBM) programme were awarded 1st Runner-up in the SSRC Business Consultancy Case Presentation Competition 2026, organised by the Start-up and SME Resource Centre (SSRC) at HSUHK.
As student consultants, George and Jack developed business solutions for a real-world case and presented their consultancy recommendations to a panel of industry judges.
Their achievement demonstrates their ability to apply business knowledge in practice, as well as their analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

We are so honored to get the first runner-up in the SSRC Consultation Competition. We deeply appreciate judges’ professional feedback and guidance. This project let us apply business knowledge to solve real SME problems, which is the most precious gain for us as Year 2 business students.
Sharing from George:
Through this competition, I learned to address high-refund challenges in SME exports by designing multi-layered support systems and targeted B2B strategies, while building realistic financial projections for sustainable growth. I also want to thank Dr Lawrence for his valuable advice throughout the whole competition without him, we could not have achieved first runner-up.
