HSUHK Marketing student shines at the CUPP 2024

Dr. Fanny Chan, Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing, co-led a team consisting of Jeffrey Wong, a talented Year 4 BBA-MKT student from HSUHK, and a master’s degree student from CUHK, in the Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2024. The team was shortlisted and participated in workshops and the Web3 Entrepreneurship Boot Camp at Draper University in the USA, showcasing remarkable growth and dedication.

Their project “Earnet” focused on “Web3 Freelancer Platform” which is a pioneering Web 3.0 networking platform that bridges the gap between freelancers from emerging markets and businesses in developed economies. By facilitating connections between these two groups, Earnet enables freelancers from developing countries to offer their skills and services to firms in developed countries, promoting global collaboration and economic opportunities.

The team is truly exceptional, demonstrating remarkable diligence and dedication to the project. They further competed with the top 20 teams in the programme and achieved outstanding results. The team has been successfully awarded a grant of HKD100,000 from the Cyberport Creative Micro Fund. This great achievement showcased the team’s dedication and excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as HSUHK’s commitment in fostering entrepreneurial spirit.
