EAF Career Talk: Recent Trend of Bank Credit Analysis Practice

Fitch Rating is one of the world’s big three credit rating agencies. The Department of Economics and Finance is delighted to invite Mr. Dan Chan, Director of Fitch Ratings, to share his expertise on the ”Latest Trends in Bank Credit Analysis Practices.”  

Mr. Chan is a director of the Product Specialist Group at Fitch, one of the world’s big 3 credit rating agencies. He has been working with Fitch for 8 years. Before Fitch, Dan worked in the credit area for 15 years, including credit risk model development, regulatory compliance advisory, and corporate credit analytics roles at S&P, Ernst & Young, and DBS Bank. Dan holds two master’s degrees, one in Finance and another in Information & Technology Management and is pursuing his doctoral degree with a research topic about bank credit ratings. 

Mr. Chan has provided valuable insights and knowledge in this field on 22nd February 2024. The event was well attended. Our students also have an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of credit rating agencies and explore potential career paths.
