Secondary School FinTech Innovation Competition 2024

The Secondary School FinTech Innovation Competition 2024 was successfully held on 27 June 2024. The Competition was organized by the Department of Economics and Finance and aimed to promote FinTech literacy among senior secondary school students. The event received significant support from esteemed organizations such as the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) and the Institute of Financial Technologists of ASIA (IFTA). 

The competition received an overwhelming response from secondary school students who enthusiastically showcased their ideas with creativity. The judging panel evaluated the ideas based on criteria such as FinTech innovation, feasibility, sustainability, presentation, and teamwork. The FinTech community also played a significant role in supporting the competition, providing valuable advice to participating team members.  

In general, the competition served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and industry awareness, empowering them to become future leaders in the AI-driven financial landscape. Through this competition, the participants not only gained valuable experience but also contributed to shaping the future of finance with their innovative and forward-thinking AI ideas.
