In order to provide our students with more information regarding the accountancy related professional bodies, the Department of Accountancy organised a professional bodies briefing session on 19 November 2014.
Representatives from FOUR professional bodies were invited to introduce their institutes/associations and their professional qualification requirements, which included Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), CPA Australia (CPAA), Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS).
More than 140 students joined the event and most of them provided positive feedback on the usefulness of the briefing given by the professional bodies. More importantly, some of the speakers reflected that they were impressed by the good attendance of the event as well as the positive behaviour of our students.
