Congratulations to our students, CHAN Sze Ching and MAN Ka Yan, who formed a team with BBA-BAF and BBA-MKT students to win the Championship and Best Team Spirit Award in TIHK Tax Debate Competition 2019 hosted by The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong held on 25 and 26 May 2019.

Our students, NG Shun-on (BBA-BAF), CHAN Sin-yi (BBA-BAF) and CHENG Hoi-sang (BBA-BAF) formed team with other BBA student to win the 1st Runner-up in the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2019-20.
This is an annual global competition providing university students with specialised experience in financial analysis, as well as training their professional skills in presenting investment reports. Participating students need to write an equity research report and subsequently present it to a panel of fund managers. There were eleven tertiary institutions that took part in the Hong Kong level event this year.
HSUHK team got into the final round together with four other finalist teams from Hong Kong Baptist University, Shue Yan University, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of Hong Kong. HSUHK team kept up their outstanding performance and was awarded the 1st Runner-up.
Our BBA-MKT students, CHEUNG Hiu Ching Daphne and LAU Hiu Man formed HANaGirl with other BBA student, won the first runner-up award in the LEGO® BRICKthrough Challenge, Trophy and prize were awarded on 28 June 2019.
The objective of the competition is to redefine LEGO®’s business strategy, contestants should come up with a 3-year business strategy targeting the “0-14 years old girls”, let LEGO® become a more female-friendly brand in Hong Kong. It provided great opportunities for them to obtain hands-on experience in marketing and advertising.
This competition was participated by 164 teams from various higher education institutions in Hong Kong. HANaGirl was one of the 8 finalist teams during the final pitch.
