Sharing Session on Private Equity Real Estate Fund

The Department of Economics and Finance was delighted to have Mr Ivan Chong, Senior Investment Director, Orion Partners Holdings Limited, as guest speaker on the topic of Private Equity Real Estate Fund on 22 November 2016.  The seminar was well-attended with over 60 Year 3 and Year 4 students.  During the seminar, Ivan used his own career as an example to illustrate the trend in private equity industry.   He also shared with students what a typical day as an investment fund manager looked like and how to keep himself on top of the ever-changing environment of finance industry.  He mentioned the importance of Mandarin and Chinese as more and more Chinese private equity funds have been set up.  He told the students to be prepared to work long hours as well as the needs to gain professional qualifications.

The seminar was attended by over 60 students from BBA-BAF and BBA-FA programmes.
