Sponsorship to CTA (Certified Tax Advisor) Annual Conference 2014

The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) organised its first CTA Conference with a topic of “Tax Transparency – Are You Ready?” on November 28, 2014 at JW Marriot.

TIHK invited various officials including Prof KC Chan as the Guest of Honour, Brian Chiu of IRD and Wang Jianfan (Director General – Department of Tax Policy) of MOF of the PRC as the speakers. Participants included members from Big 4 professional services firm, small-medium practitioners and multinational corporations.

As a means to promote the brand of HSMC amongst the future employers of HSMC students, a donation of $10,000 was made to the conference. Dr Brossa Wong (Department Head) and Ms Betty Kwok (Associate Head), together with 7 HSMC students from BBA (Accounting), attended the conference on invitation.
