Intelligent Career Planning Workshop

To better prepare our students for their career, a workshop on Intelligent Career Planning was conducted on 23 March. It was our pleasure to have Ms Christine Choy, Director and Chief Consultant of Choy’s Human Resource Consultancy Ltd, as our speaker.
With over 30 years of experience in the Human Resources Management industry, Ms Choy guided participants on establishing their unique selling propositions and introduced ten career commandments. Prior to the workshop, participants completed a Personality and Career Test to discover the personality type they belonged to. As Ms Choy mentioned, a fulfilling life is lead when a career suits one’s characters. From the real-life stories she share, participants also realized that the importance of career planning and learned different strategies to stand out from the crowd during job applications. They also understood that professional grooming reflected career values and personalities. At the workshop, participants seized the chance at presenting their personal branding statements to their counterparts, stressing their skills, personalities, passion and possible contribution to markets.
At the end of the workshop, Ms Choy gave her advice on college life and wish participants a fulfilling life.
Sharing the vivid real-life cases she had dealt with, Ms Choy fully captured participants’ attention and smiles.
Participants gave a try on presenting personal branding statement and discussed the limitations of robots.
Prof Chow demonstrated her token of appreciation to Ms Choy with a certificate.
