A Team of Accountancy Students Won the 3rd Place in the Regional Competition of 2015 Deloitte Tax Championship

The Deloitte Tax Championship, organised by Shanghai Deloitte Tax Ltd and Deloitte Tax Research Foundation, is a key event for university students in Greater China Region. This year’s competition attracted participants from 66 top universities in 30 cities. The Regional Competition was held on 29 August 2015. It comprised a simulated business case study and an intense quiz on tax regulations and practice knowledge.
This is the very first time for HSMC to participate in the competition as an invited institution. A team of four Accountancy students represented HSMC and competed with the other 10 teams from universities in HK and Macau. After going through two rounds of grueling competition, our students finally secured the 3rd place.
They were Mr Alexander LEE Yiu Chun, Miss Angel LIU Yuen Kwan, Miss Flossie WAI Yi Chun, and Mr Daniel WONG Pok Leung, all of them were fourth year students of the BBA (Hons) programme in Accountancy.
